Review: Me at KUIS
Bismillah
Being a freshman at KUIS, taught me a few.
Changed me into something new.
To mingle with youngsters form a thousand various backgrounds. To give and take in ideas and views.
To live by faith and principles and. Serve and love God. Keeping Him pleased, as best I could.
To be a boy and a man. Fun and responsibility. Stay put despite girls glares and words.
May God keep me strong forever to live by His words.
Thank you.
Review: Preparatory English
Preparatory English
As always, my favorite language after Arabic but more preferred than my National Language, no offense.
To 'revise' all about basic English is definitely boring. But I tend to view from a thousand eyes.
Unlearn, learn, and relearn. KUIS' motto.
Confidence is good, arrogance with my English is always bad.
Review: KUIS
International Islamic University College of Selangor.
IIUCS.
The Catalyst of Knowledge Tradition.
As it says, knowledge and understanding is the key.
Black and white, normality of all.
To speak about the lecturers, the pointer system, suits me well. For now.
To speak about facilities, ok. I can survive, and maintain my CGPA at the same time, InshaAllah.
Last but not least, the KUIS Lake Soothing and calming. A GOOD DATING SPOT for some engaged and married students.
5 more semesters to do my best in KUIS.
Review: My Lecturers
Ustaz Zainuddin.
Ustazah Mariam.
Pn. Zurina.
Ustazah Zaleha.
Sir Shahrul.
Madam Khodijah.
Sir Azfi.
Various expertise and fields yet share one common value.
To relate all disciplines of knowledge with God and His divine teachings.
In their words and actions, made students feel the need to fear God and to love God.
Thank you, dear lecturers.
Until next semester, may God bless all.
Review: Syariah B Classmates
Nineteen. Twelve boys and eleven girls.

Review: Ist Semester at KUIS
First semester diploma Islamic Studies at KUIS.
Started with a bang. Performed at PTD Auditorium on only the third academic week.
Got along just nice with senior students and fellow freshmen.
Jogged around the lake about 7 times.
Managed to stay healthy and strong all semester long, did not miss any lectures. Praise be to God.
Joined the Save Gaza and Syria Campaign.
Looking forward to my final exam.

The Music in Me
My Favorite Songs
Let's see.
# Guide Me All The Way, Maher Zain. God is and will always be the most reliable source of strength for his servants. To him only I ask for divine guidance and wisdom to live my life as He pleased. Keeps me away from counting everything on men.
# I Love You So, Maher Zain. Love is the most talked about subject among men. God is the most loving. His love has no boundary. Those who ought to love Him back, will get special treatment. When God loves me, the whole world will love me.
# Muhasabah Cinta, Edcoustic, Indonesian. Look back on my love story with God. Has it been sweet or sour. Has I been faithful or otherwise. Do I remember Him all the time or only when I'm in pain and hardship. Soulful song. Always cry listening to this song.
# Wahesyna, Maher Zain, Arabic. The best of all Mankind, Muhammad p.b.u.h. Reminds of his life and struggle. Portrays my longing to meet and chat with him. Reminds me to remain strong and maintain my pace on the path I chose. The path of life not many dare to take.
# Hall of Fame, The Script. The best way to beat a system is to be at the top of system. To be the player, the top performer. To be in the Hall of Fame. Nothing more than number 1. No other way than through had work and struggle.
GOD is beautiful.
ART is beautiful.
MUSIC is an ART.
ART is from GOD.
ART is to beautify and glorify GOD.
ART is to make me rely only to GOD.
GOD gave me ART to make ME beautiful.
GOD grant ME music to make LIFE beautiful.
Night Market
Night markets.
3.00-10.00 p.m.
10 minutes away from college.
Shop, socialize, simply waste some time.
Different taste for my tongue.
Mingle with local people with a vision to help improve their lives one day.
Bday
Birthday Celebration
Personally, it's not the celebration. It's not about the 'joy' of growing up and become older by age. As they say, maturity is not measured by age. It is measured by the greatness of vision.
My most memorable birthday celebration was my 15th. A cake was there. Candles were on the cake. It was a cheesecake, my favorite, healthy and delicious. Everyone was there. Mom and dad, my brothers and my baby sister. It was great to have that kind of celebration. Hugs and kisses filled the air. So sweet.
Fifteen, Taylor Swift. The older I am, the more responsible I should be. The more closer to God I should be. And the more prepared to die I should be.
Benefits of Social Network in Improving Language

My Top 5 Favorite Movies
My Favorite Movies
# The Kingdom,USA,2008. A movie about the close relationship between the royals of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. Portraying the betrayal of the Saudi clan to the international Muslims. Showing the work of the Saudi clan in blocking the jihad movement in the Holy Land.It is so much relevant nowadays.
# Ketika Cinta Bertasbih,Indonesia,2009. Shows the life of al-Azhar students. Struggling to maintain good pointers in studies, whilst running businesses to survive in the land of apostles. And the agenda after, marriage. Portrays marriage between well-fit religious students from Egyptian universities.
# Click,USA,2010. A sci-fi about time controlling remote control. It shows the lack of responsibility of men over life. Man always long for ease and fun without realizing the consequences that might occur. Life is to remain a mystery, with hard work will be resolved without doubt.
# Fordson,USA,2011. Based on true story. Life of American Muslims playing football as college representatives. Playing in state playoffs in the fasting month was thought to weaken the God-fearing men, yet they strive through the day and prayed all night. And victory became theirs. Thought about the lives of Eastern and Western Muslims.
# Sang Pencerah,Indonesia,2011. A young man sent to Mekah to study the religion. Went home to Indonesia with modern understanding of Islam. As a student of Islamic Student, I will at least become a lecturer. But I'm gunning to become a scholar. Money will come, one way or another. Every being has its part of deal in this worldly life.

Embodying the Qur'an
Few weeks back, a talk about Qura'n in our lives was held at KUIS.
It was great, listening to talks in Arabic.
No language in the world is more valuable than Arabic.
I would like to share a few ways to memorize the Qur'an effectively.
# Pure intention.
# Master the pronunciation and regulations in reciting the Qur'an.
# Start by memorizing the 5 'juzuk's from behind.
# Then, memorize the remaining 25 'juzuk's. From al-Baqarah until al-Jatsiyah.
# Read repeatedly about half a page. Then, recite without looking to the page.
# 'Collect' halves of pages at night and compile them into 2 or 3 pages in the morning.
# Be consistent.
**based on my short experience at Maa'had Tahfiz al-Qur'an Hira', Jeram, Selangor.

FOOD
Ramadhan.
The fasting month.
Yet.
Some Muslims mistook it as the food month.
Anyhow, this is to complete the needs of a particular subject at my university.

Favorite starter. Nothing beats the magic of natural homegrown banana. Banana bared at the small orchard behind my house. It helps keeping my tummy works effectively.
Favorite drink, any hot drink. I have always preferred a hot cup of teh tarik. It soothes the throat and keeps my voice nice and clear. I've been avoiding cold drinks as much as possible for the past 6 years.
My favorite main dish, anything other than white rice. I started my life overseas, so rice was not the first food that got into my body. So I chose pizza as the subject of this writing. A pizza is best eaten warm.
A pizza usually consists of a mix of healthy ingredients. Most pizzas will not harm the body, inside out.
As for desert. I just could not resist the cute, chubby, creamy cream puff sold at a bakery shop close to home. It is made with bread and cream only. In a nutshell, I only consume healthy food and drinks.
Thank you.

First
I'm Umar Izzat.
I'm taking up Diploma in Islamic Studies (Syariah).
My parents are both lecturers in their respective fields. I have three older brothers and a baby sister.
I have always dreamed of being someone important to the society. I want to help as many people as I could. I want to be a scholar.
"Syariah is the foundation of human rights, not the other way around."
I enrolled into this course to understand the misunderstood religion from its roots. I want to understand Islam in its true form. I want to relate Islam and everything else that exist in this world. I want the whole world to see Islam in its true form.
